WebP — output will be JPG. Nothing is uploaded.
WebP is excellent for websites — smaller files, wide browser support. It is still a problem when the destination does not accept it. Older printers, some email clients, CMS plugins, WhatsApp on certain devices, and government or university upload forms often insist on JPEG. This page exists for that job: convert WebP to JPG without sending the file anywhere.
Drop one WebP or a batch. Your browser decodes the image, draws it onto a JPEG canvas, and you download a .jpg. There is no server round-trip, so a 10 MB photo is as private as a 50 KB icon. Close the tab and nothing remains on our side — because it never left your device.
JPEG is a lossy format. At the default quality (around 88%) photos look like the original WebP. Raise the slider if you need print-like fidelity. If a form demands 100 KB or 200 KB, use Compress to exact size after converting, or compress first and convert here.
JPEG has no alpha channel. Transparent pixels become white. If you need to keep transparency, stay on PNG or WebP — try PNG to WebP instead.
Upload-based converters see every pixel, including unpublished work and ID scans. ImageOptimizer runs the same engine as Compress and Convert entirely in the browser. No account, no watermark added back, no daily credit. That is the whole product.
Yes. JPEG has no alpha. Transparent pixels are filled with white. Keep PNG or WebP if you need transparency.
Compatibility — WhatsApp, some printers, email clients, and older software still prefer JPEG.
No TinyPNG-style 5 MB cap and no daily credits. Convert a batch in your browser, then download a ZIP.
No. Conversion runs locally with the Canvas API. Close the tab and the images are gone.
